Lady Gaga’s fifth studio album, “Joanne,” was released yesterday to a flurry of reviews after Gaga’s New York “Dive Bar” performance. The Rolling Stone was quick to review the album saying it’s her “best in years.” Lady Gaga has said this is a pop album that’s personal to her and her family. Joanne is Lady Gaga’s middle name, but also her Dad’s sister’s name who passed away from lupus. With songs like “Joanne,” “Million Reasons” and “Sinner’s Prayer” I would say this album is unexpected but a nice little gem to add to our LG record collections.
Fans can enjoy yet another performance from Lady Gaga on SNL tonight and an upcoming carpool karaoke episode with James Corden. You can find a bunch of recent radio interviews on youtube giving away album details and episodes showing Lady Gaga in the studio making “Joanne” in a documentary. So far, episode 1 featured behind-the-scenes for “A-Yo.” Fans were also treated to a meet & greet at the NYC restaurant owned by Gaga’s parents where she was selling & signing copies of “Joanne.”

The Rolling Stone did a very favorable review for Britney’s new album “Glory,” giving it a 3.5 star review. The R.S. showed Britney love throughout their review calling Britney “our girl!” while praising the album and comparing Britney to the sounds of Selina Gomez. It’s a long review which details much of the 20-year music career of Britney including the albums “Femme Fatale” and “Britney Jean.”
You can read the review at the [rollingstone.com] & see Britney and G-Eazy’s VMAs performance of “Make Me;” one of my favorite tracks on the album!

It’s a good month for Vogue magazine! (understatement). By now you’ve no doubt seen Taylor Swift on the cover of the May edition of US Vogue on all of the newstands, in every store. I had to cross borders and make several trips to various stores to get my copy but alas…
It’s a great read and has many photos of Taylor styling those little black boots in a very Gaga-like moment with a bleached out frock. In the interview Taylor speaks about her current relationship with Calvin Harris, fashion, talks about where she grew up, gives us a little bit of insight as to what’s next in music and what she wants to do with her time off. The full interview is posted at vogue.com.
Jessica Simpson spoke with the Huffington Post about her collaboration with Budget cars, her inspirations for new music, new Jessica Simpson Collection stores (very exciting!) and more.. Jessica confirmed that she’s been back in the studio and said she feels people will be able to relate to what she wants to sing about. (Can’t wait!) You can read the full interview at the [huffingtonpost.com].
There’s been so many many MANY messages and tribute concerts since just like Thursday when Prince unexpectedly passed away that I wanted to say something. As with everyone else, I am still shocked. It is impossible to go to any store or even the supermarket without “Little Red Corvette” or one of Prince’s hits playing. It is also nearly impossible to find a single copy of “Purple Rain” in the record store or online but I’m sure an album collection is in the works as you are reading this.
Over the weekend tribute concerts happened already including covers by Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Usher and likewise performers at Coachella and Brooklyn concerts. You can find touching messages from the likes of Lady Gaga, JLo, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, U2, Usher, Ceelo Green and the list that never ends over social media. Prince was a brilliant musician with a flare for fashion. Many of us grew up on his hits. This Prince won’t be forgotten..
After her big wins at the iHeartRadio Music Awards Taylor has dropped her latest video for “New Romantics” onto iTunes. The video features her fans at her 1989 shows and behind-the-scenes footage. You can see a preview at her official Facebook page.

Gwen Stefani’s new album, “This is What the Truth Feels Like” is doing GOOOOD and is sitting at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart as a solo artist. Since the March 18th release I’ve had it on repeat. With songs like “Misery,” “Where Would I Be” and “Truth” it’s no wonder it’s a hit!!! Love the lyrics!
Britney Spears announced that she’s covering the next issue of “V” magazine which will be on stands this week. Yay! In the interview, she says she can’t talk about her next album but does let out some deets hinting that the album will be unexpected and how it’s the best thing she’s done so far where she’s being more hands on. In the interview she also talks about her Vegas shows & more! You can read the interview at [vmagazine.com].

Adele is playing 6 shows in LA in August and 6 shows at Madison Square Garden in September with double shows virtually everywhere else and 4 shows in Toronto in October! I see the shows have been selling out super fast! Hopefully, more shows will be added as the demand is obviously there!
